SUBTLE INDIAN MAKEUP

As you would have noticed, most of my makeup tutorials have a lot of focus on the eyes. I strongly believe that if you can highlight your eyes , half the battle is won. Indian look is synonymous to dark eyes and red lips. This is a look created with the red and golden hues(but not going overboard) which is perfect for Indian weddings and parties.

Gold is a great shade for makeup and it suits the Indian skin tone really well. It is a royal color which makes your eyes pop with kohled eyes.

Holidays are a fantastic time to create new looks and experiment with colors. I had shot this back in summers during our trip to Vienna but finally posting this with all the details. To think of it, it could actually be a great fall/winter look owing to the gorgeousness of this burgundy color.

The only eye shadow palette I had carried was this one – Electric Obsessions by Huda Beauty. Let me begin by telling you about all the products that have gone into creating this look.

SUMMER HUES : FOTD

They said yellow eye shadow is the biggest trend this summer. From mustard to neon, my Instagram feed was flooded with great artists experimenting with the brightest and sunniest shades of yellow. So when I set out to explore the streets of Prague on a very sunny day, I decided to experiment with the bright hues of yellow. Thanks to my Huda Beauty Electric Obsessions, the color pop was totally worth it.

I would not even have to explain what I used if you would see the palette for yourself. I started with a Bobbi Brown eye primer for the eye shadow to show its true colors.Basically, I used a mix of pink and purple in crease and base which are evenly spread out. I used the benefit concealer on the inner corner and spread it to the middle of the eyelids for the yellow to be as bright as possible. Then, I tapped the yellow color on the concealer and slowly blended it across the lids to even it out with the purple.

Interestingly I had left my INGLOT AMC77 gel eyeliner(which I generally use) back home and I had no option but to use a lip liner on the eyes. I used NYX Maroon lip liner for the same and it did not disappoint me at all.

As always, I was a little too shy to use a bright lip color with bright eyes and a very bright yellow top. Hence, I chose MAC twig, an absolute subtle and everyday wear lip color . Benefit brows and Benefit Roller Lash mascara as usual to complete the look.

FOTD: GOLD SMOKEY EYE MAKEUP

Smokey eyes bring up the glamour quotient in no time.

I absolutely love it and when it comes to a signature makeup look, smokey eye has always been my go to. It appears a lot difficult but is definitely not to hard to do. I have improved with time learning from my mistakes and here I shall explain the whole process in 7 simple steps –

20180421_21293220180522_133307

Steps I followed to get this look –

Step 1: Prepped and primed the eyelids with the Urban Decay Eyeshadow primer potion.

Step 2: Used Bae from Huda Beauty Rose Gold palette as a base.

Step 3: Used a tape at both ends to get the cut right.I used the dark brown bossy shade from Huda Beauty Rose Gold palette and applied it to the outer corner and then took it further into the crease to create the depth.

Step 4: I applied the shade Smog in gold from the Urban Decay  eyeshadow box to the middle of the lid and the shade blackout in the outer corner till I was happy with the intensity.

Step 5: I applied the gold eyeshadow to the lower lashline and followed up with black liner on the lower water line.

Step 6: Then I used Chambor kohl on the upper lashline as an eyeliner.

Step 7: Lastly, I loaded it with Benefit Roller Lash mascara.

3 Lip looks through the day!

With the New year’s eve right around the corner, there are a lot of luncheons, evening- outs and party hopping you are looking forward to,right? Do you hate to remove makeup each time and reapply when you step out again? I do too!!! So, today I started the morning with bright red lips and kept layering till the late night party to create different looks. Showing you a few pictures and throwing ideas on how to go about it!

  1. I started my day with the all-time favorite bright red lips! Product used is none other than MAC Ruby Woo. The red which suits every skin tone. If you are a Red lips lover and you haven’t tried this, go grab it right now!

2. For the evening, I tried to create Ombre lips using NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Shade Berlin and NYX Long Lip Pencil, Burgundy.I applied Berlin on the outer corners and softly blended it in, similarly used to line the lips with NYX long lip pencil in Burgundy and blended the look with a brush.

3. I wanted a bit of glitz and glamor for the party at night and hence, layered it with Berlin all over.On top of it, sprinkle INGLOT 64 body sparkles and there I was, ready to party with my shiny lips!
